Climate Café logo, branding and graphics

A Climate Café is an open, inclusive space for people to get together to talk and act on climate change. Climate Cafés are community led, informal spaces where everyone is welcome to join the conversation and get involved. Climate Cafés create a space to bring people together from across communities, work places and campuses to focus on solutions.

I’ve been working with Climate Cafe since its inception here in Scotland, starting with the design of its logo and brand style. The main logo uses a leaf motif to represent the accent on the letter e, and secondary logos shorten the name to CC and represent the brand pictorially with a mug with a leaf above.

To complement the brand are a set of illustrations – ‘Drink Chat Act!’ represents the aim of the cafes, and a large collection of icons represent different climate themed messages. These have been used to illustrate social media posts, messages and infographics.

Recent expansion has allowed us to start creating a series of branded guides, booklets, leaflets, presentations, case studies and reports with much more to come in the future as the movement goes global.
