Food Train logo and brand design

Branding / Logo Design / Graphic Design / Vehicle Graphics

Food Train is a voluntary organisation and social enterprise providing vital services for people who can’t manage on their own due to age, health or disability.

Previously, as well as the core service of grocery delivery, there were other services under different names, each with different styled branding. As well as updating the main Food Train brand, this redesign required the creation of a matching family of brands to bring together the different services under one consistent look.

Retaining the existing red, black and yellow colour scheme, I modernised the font choices and created a new simplified steam train icon. Each logo is differentiated by an icon to represent the service, within a colour-coded steam cloud. Reversed and mono versions of each logo were also created.

The new branding has been applied to leaflets, uniforms, the vehicle fleet and their website.

“Tom was involved in our rebranding exercise in 2019, designing our new logo, transforming our marketing leaflets, and preparing vehicle wrap designs. We have been delighted with Tom’s design ideas, the speed in which he gets them done and we look forward to continuing to work with him in the future.”
